Circular Economy in Space
Project A – Accelerate the Circular Transformation in Space
The project “Managing Change and Innovation to Accelerate Circular Transformation” focuses on developing strategies and solutions that help industries transition towards a circular economy. By exploring new approaches to design, production, and resource management, the project aims to drive sustainable innovation and foster a more resilient, environmentally conscious future. Partners within the Creaternity AeroSpace Lab are LTU and Astromerge.

Licentiate Thesis: Towards a Circular Economy in Space: The Role of Satellite Reuse
The goal of this licentiate thesis is to explore how the principles of a circular economy can be applied to the rapidly growing space industry, with a particular focus on satellite reuse. As the number of objects launched into orbit increases, so too do the challenges of waste, resource depletion, and environmental impact. This thesis examines the intersection of industrial innovation and sustainability, proposing satellite reuse as a pathway to mitigate these effects and contribute to a more responsible and enduring space economy.
